Provides childcare in a variety of programs, plans activities, implements the scheduled daily program, and assists the teachers in a variety of ways.
Helps to ensure the safety and welfare of the children and protects each from physical or emotional harm. This includes performing all tasks with an appropriate level of confidentiality.
Supervises children and ensures ratio is maintained at ALL TIMES
Helps with general housekeeping tasks including sanitizing toys, table tops, equipment and promoting healthy and hygienic habits.
Provides care for young children and infants, including changing diapers, feeding, and comforting
Provides an environment where everyone can have a positive experience throughout the day.
Treats all children, families, and staff members with dignity and respect, and allow for individual differences.
Maintain a professional attitude at all times.
Maintain appropriate communication with staff, children, and families at all times. Maintain an open, warm and very professional relationship with all families.
Maintains observation records and other required classroom logs correctly as directed by Lead Teacher.
Knows all health and emergency policies of the program and is ready to implement them if necessary.
Shows initiative in the improvement of early childhood education, the program, and the curriculum by sharing ideas and participating in available trainings.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Prepares and follows a curriculum based on developmentally appropriate practices that helps each child reach his/her fullest potential in all areas of development.
Supervises and interacts with children at all times; mealtimes, rest periods, diapering/restroom times, playtimes, and activity times.

High School Diploma
90 Hrs. Certification (45 Hours of Child Growth & Development and at least (1) 45 Hr. Curriculum Course) OR Child Development Associate Credential
Must have some knowledge of early childhood education – course work or prior experience.
CPR Certification required within 2 months of date of hire.
Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Knowledge of child cognitive, social, and skills development methods and techniques.
Knowledge of play, reading, and quiet-time activities for children.
Child supervision & Classroom management skills.
Ability to provide basic nutrition and hygiene services for infants and young children
Ability to provide a supportive and caring environment for children.
The work hours of staff vary widely, and hours are subject to change according to the Center’s needs. CCC is open year-round but observes 10 Federal Holidays a year. Full-time and part-time staff work together in staggered shifts to cover the entire day. Monthly staff Meetings are mandatory and paid.
Successful candidate must submit to post offer, pre-employment physical examination/medical history check. The ability to lift up to 40 pounds as well as bend, sit and stand for up to 45 minutes at a time.

A Cradlerock Preschool Teacher has an understanding of RESPONSIVE CARE in theory and practice and provides intentional experiences for children to develop. He/she maintains high energy and the ability to handle the demands young children with different personalities and needs.
A successful candidate is gentle and nurturing, he/she exhibits the patience needed to assist each child to mature cognitively. He/she will assist in developing the children's social and emotional skills as they interact with each other and possesses the necessary experience to confidently communicate and partner with parents in support of each child’s development.

Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education OR Bachelor’s Degree in any field, Required, plus a minimum of three years successful classroom teaching experience.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills and the ability to work positively and cooperatively with others.
Must have some knowledge of early childhood education – course work or prior experience.
Child supervision & Classroom management skills.
Proven experience and success in effective instruction and assessment.
