The Cradlerock Children's Center INFANTS & TODDLERS PROGRAM is aligned with The Creative Curriculum© and Maryland’s Healthy Beginnings Initiative. Leading research on cooperative early learning shows us that young children learn best when they are actively engaged in the process of creating and exploring the world around them. Children in our care benefit from active teaching strategies crafted to their individual needs. Even our youngest students learn independence through predictable routines and projects that interest them.

Nurture + Responsive Care 

Our caregivers offer guidance in a safe and happy environment

6 weeks to 18 months

  • Read to, engage and sing with children. 
  • Involve the child in safe exploration and play.
  • Responsive care in a warm family-friendly environment.
  • Celebrate and recognize the child’s individuality and unique experience.
  • Establish parent partnership in support and communication.

18 weeks to 24 months

  • Balanced teacher-led and child-led activities. 
  • Developmentally appropriate materials that encourage exploration.
  • Engage in activities drawn from the child’s interests.
  • Emphasis on literacy and language growth to build pre-reading skills.
  • Atmosphere where friendship and kindness are taught and modeled.
